Syracuse -7, 2 unit play — 9:30 pm ET

Pittsburgh is catching Syracuse off 2 losses and this number is lower than it should be because of it. Pittsburgh beat Boston College yesterday but BC just lost to NC State at home by 26 the game prior. Pittsburgh is still on a 3-12-1 ATS run and are just 3-14 SU since January 1st, losing 11 of those 14 games by more than 7 points. Syracuse beat Pittsburgh twice already this year – 74-63 on 1/19 and 65-56 on 2/2 in a game Syracuse led by double digits for most of it. Syracuse has had three 2 game losing streaks this season prior to this current one – they went 3-0 ATS in the game following those losing streaks covering by 9, 3.5 and 17 points.

Syracuse is also 7-1 SU this season against the bottom half of the ACC and won those games by 10, 11, 20, 6, 9, 11 and 25 points…most recently beating Wake Forest by 25 just 11 days ago. Syracuse headlines read that they’re limping in to March but they’ve had some tough spots lately that you can’t be too hard on them for – the loss vs Virginia at home where Virginia couldn’t miss from three in the second half and then a loss at Clemson who absolutely needed that game and took Carolina to the wire in their previous home game.

This is a good spot for Syracuse to get right – Pittsburgh recently lost to Miami by 13 and Georgia Tech by 8. If you limit McGowens and Johnson this team struggles. Syracuse wins comfortably tonight.
