Longshots who can win their conference tournaments

All odds via Bet MGM
ACC – Georgia Tech (20-1): While Virginia and Florida State are the favorites in the ACC, the Yellow Jackets have two things going for them heading to Greensboro. One, they have a double-bye into the quarterfinals, meaning they won’t tip-off until Thursday and will have to win just three games to win the title. Two, they’ve had success against pretty much everyone in the conference, with head-to-head wins over No. 2 seed Florida State, No. 3 seed Clemson, No. 5 seed Virginia Tech and No. 6 seed North Carolina. Oh, and they nearly beat No. 1 seed Virginia in Charlottesville, losing by two
Big 12 – Oklahoma State (10-1): In some ways its a bit risky to back the Pokes with Cade Cunningham nursing an injury (he missed Saturday’s game against West Virginia) at the same time, there are fewer teams in the country hotter than OSU. They’ve won seven of their last nine, with the only losses in that stretch coming at Kansas and at Baylor.
Big East – St. John’s (20-1): With Collin Gillespie’s injury at Villanova and Creighton’s team turmoil, the Big East is wide open. Because of it, grab the Red Storm at 20-1. They get a first round bye, get Seton Hall in their opener (a team they just beat Saturday) and enter the tournament with nine wins in their last 12 games.
Big Ten – Purdue (12-1): It’s hard to bet against Michigan or Illinois in the Big Ten, but the Boilermakers are probably your best bet. One, like Georgia Tech in the ACC they get a double-bye into the quarters, and have quietly been playing basketball of late. Purdue has won five straight as they head to Indy.
Pac-12 – Stanford (16-1): This is solely a bet on the hope that Oscar Da Silva returns for the Cardinal before Pac-12 Tournament play starts. He missed the final three games for the Cardinal, and Stanford lost all three games without him (and four overall). But when he was in the lineup, Stanford was comfortably in the tournament mix, with a win over UCLA and sweep of Arizona.
SEC – Kentucky (16-1): Alabama and Arkansas are rightfully favored, but in terms of best “long shot” it has to be the Wildcats. Remember, UK beat the No. 3, 4 and 5 seeds in this tournament during the regular season (LSU, Tennessee and Florida), lost by one to the No. 2 seed (Arkansas) and was up four at Alabama with four minutes to go.
