UNC quietly upset Miami last week as the Tar Heels have now exceeded expectations and played very well, exceeding expectations in back to back weeks.
We cashed with this Wake Forest last week and they continue to be undervalued in the marketplace. I am impressed by how UNC has played and certainly have upgraded them. However, this is a bad matchup for this Tar Heel team. The mini air raid of Wake Forest was a bit slow to start but really started humming in the second half against Rice last week as they covered the -19.5 spread.
This linebacker and secondary has question marks for the Tar Heels, they lost their leading tackler for the past three seasons and in the secondary the Heels lost three cornerbacks this Spring and depth is a serious question. Not good against the passing attack Wake features.
This spread suggests this game is close to a pick em before homefield for Wake is factored in and I do not agree. This Wake team should cause massive matchup problems with their skilled receivers and I do not believe UNC has the offensive firepower to keep up. Bargain line here and I will lay -3.5 here and scoop up the plus money.
