SMU just pummeled a pretty good North Texas team. Texas transfer at QB Shane
Buechele is slinging it for 326 yards a game and SMU is playing at a very fast pace (82 plays
per game, 43 ppg). Texas State probably should have won last week after outgaining
Wyoming. Texas State has gone with Gresch Jensen (from Montana) who has a
familiarity with HC Jake Spavital also from Montana. The Bobcats probably should have started him from the get go. They didn’t which was puzzling. However, Jensen looks good as he threw for 394 yards 1 TD but 2 INTs. I see this as SMU looking to score often and early, and Texas State letting Jensen sling it while chasing from behind in a 45-20 ish type game.Fundamental number as I referenced last week. It’s under 60 in college , and it’s two teams who want to play pinball ? Over here.
