Outside of the loss to Buffalo, the Temple defense hasn’t allowed more than 17 points in a game. Don’t be surprised to see Todd Centeio come in at Quarterback to give the offense a change of pace from Anthony Russo. But this game is about the defense. The Owls slowed down Maryland earlier this year when the Terps were rolling and came into Lincoln Financial Field as a 7.5 point favorite. (Temple won outright). They’ll have to do the same here against Memphis who is averaging 39.8 points per game. The Tigers are in the Top 25 for the first time this season and that’s traditionally a bad spot for teams. Teams that start the season unranked are 1-9 ATS in their first game as a ranked team. Another positive trend is Temple being 7-0 ATS as a home underdog of fewer than 12 points. I see these teams as closer than a FG. Getting 4.5 is too juicy to pass up. Gimme the Owls.
