I don’t agree with people who think the Yankees bats are going to struggle tonight – they’re facing Greinke, not Verlander or Cole. The Yankees just hit Greinke hard in Game 1, they’ve hit him hard multiple times, and I don’t know what changes tonight in a do or die game in the Bronx. The Yankees go to Tanaka every year for big games and he delivers in almost every big game. He just shut out the Astros Saturday. He won a big game vs the Twins in the ALDS.

Aaron Boone overmanaged Game 2 and tried too hard to win a game knowing their chances in Game 3 vs Cole were going to be an uphill battle. Now the Yankees are in a position where their backs are against the wall and all season, through injuries every single month, this team has won when they needed to. I think the Yankees jump on Greinke tonight and think there’s a chance they win by 3 runs or more. It’ll be a loud one in the Bronx.
