5 plays ready to go for Sunday.

Season record: 51-41, +15.3 units.

Last week: 2-2. Wins on WASH +3 & MIN -7 . Losses on DAL & a teaser with Pittsburgh/KC.

Giving out 3 picks for free this week and selling 2 others. Let’s get a few winners on the board to build up a bankroll for the playoffs. Good luck…

1. SD +10 @ Den (6 units): The Broncos have scored 17 points or less in regulation in 4 of Brock Osweiler’s 6 starts. The Chargers have been out of the playoff race but they’re still competing as they’re 3-0 ATS their last 3 games. They took Oakland to OT when Oakland had a big night honoring Charles Woodson, they blitzed Miami by 16, and they held the Chiefs to 10 points and lost by just 7. The Chargers have gotten healthier on defense lately and that’s why they’ve been competing more. Denver is playing for a bye but their offense is nothing to fear. Fun fact: Denver is ranked #32 in the league in 3 & out percentage on offense. Mike McCoy has been a good coach for the Chargers over the years and the team wants to end on a positive note for next season. Take the Chargers to compete.

2.. Nyj @ BUF +3.5 (4 units): The Jets are off a great win but with Steven Jackson forced to play heavy snaps and Amendola out it was not a Patriots team at full strength. The Jets’ wins haven’t been as impressive lately as their record looks – The Jets beat the Cowboys by just 3 two weeks ago, killed the Titans at home (big deal), came from behind vs. the Giants and won by 3, killed Miami (again, big deal), and lost at Houston prior to that. They haven’t travelled well this year and are 1-3 their last 4 road games. Buffalo has been bad on the road but solid at home and they beat the Texans by 9 at home in the middle of the Texans hot streak.  The Bills have nothing to play for this season but I’m betting on Rex to get his guys up versus his former team to end the season on a high note.

3. NE -10 @ Mia (4 units): The Patriots are going to want to get back on track after their loss vs the Jets and have a good opponent to do that against. They still have to win to wrap up the #1 seed and they get Amendola back today to help the offense. The Dolphins have lost by an average of 20 ppg to teams with a winning record this season and Dan Campbell is almost definitely getting fired from his Head Coaching job after this game. The Patriots should open this up.

Fun fact: In the past 2 seasons there have been 8 instances where a coach was on the verge of being fired and his team was playing an opponent where the coach’s job was safe. The teams with the coaches who were doomed went 2-6 in those games and lost by margins of 31, 33, 14, 13, 25, and 4. Simply put – coaches who are doomed don’t do well getting their teams ready (the exceptions were Rex Ryan in New York and Jim Harbaugh in San Francisco but those were anomalies because the Jets players liked playing for Rex and Harbaugh was a good coach he just had problems with ownership).
