Note: The Rams will be without Aqib Talib tonight and Marcus Peters is doubtful.

The Vikings are getting two starting offensive lineman back and Dalvin Cook is most likely suiting up as well.

For as dominant as the Rams have been, their defense is giving up 5 yards/carry so far (6th worst in the NFL). Last week Melvin Gordon had 15 carries for 80 yards (5.3 ypc) vs the Rams and Austin Ekeler had 4 carries for 47 yards (long of 32). The only reason the Chargers didn’t run the ball more was because they were trailing most of the game and were forced to throw.

The Vikings are getting 2 offensive lineman back tonight and will most likely have Dalvin Cook back. Even though the Vikings can attack the Rams secondary with Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib both out, it’s worth wondering if the Vikings opt to run heavy tonight to play keep away from the Rams offense and avoid a shootout on the road with one of the best offenses in the league. Don’t be surprised to see the Vikings try to establish the run a lot early.

*No play on this game for me right now. I lean Vikings plus the points. If they establish the run early, I would lean towards live betting the Vikings.
