Dolphins -3 vs Pats – 1 unit

The Pats haven’t looked good most of the preseason and are adjusting to not having Josh McDaniels and the assistants he took with him to the Raiders. Joe Judge and Matt Patricia were splitting playcalling last week and the offense wasn’t playing well. The defense lost JC Jackson and Stephon Gilmore and Tua and the passing game have looked really good. Patriots beat writers are a lot more pessimistic about the start of this season than last year’s and the Dolphins have the same defensive coordinator from last year so their defense should be ahead of the Pats offense for Week 1. The Pats can also be caught off guard by some plays that the Dolphins haven’t shown on film yet with McDaniel coming in. New England’s 1-4 ATS their last 5 in Miami, Miami covered those games by 13.6 ppg and the Pats are 2-7 their last 9 in Miami. Only one game in Miami between them the last 10 years was decided by a field goal or less.
