The Eagles left the Atlanta game banged up on multiple levels – they lost Tim Jernigan on the defensive line for 4-6 weeks after losing Malik Jackson for the season the week before. Alshon Jeffery, DeSean Jackson, and Dallas Goedert all left Atlanta with injuries and will be querstionable. The secondary has holes and Matthew Stafford has looked sharp in the first two games – 65.3% completion percentage through 2 games, 630 yards (8.4 yards/attempt), and 5 TDs/2 INTs. The offensive line played really solid Sunday vs the Chargers and Stafford didn’t get sacked once against Bosa, Ingram and the Chargers.

Kenny Golladay is coming off an 8 rec/117 yard game with a touchdown and there’s good talent at the rest of the skill positions with Kerryon Johnson, Marvin Jones, Danny Amendola and T.J. Hockenson. The defense just played really well holding the Chargers to 10 points and picking Rivers off at a key point in the game.

Detroit being on the road on grass would be a risk that comes to mind but Stafford has won games on the road at Chicago, New Orleans and Indianapolis in 2015 and 2016 when he had much better teams than what he had the last 2 years. He also lost a 3 point game at Seattle on Monday Night Football. The team around him sucked in 2017 and 2018.

This line should drop below a touchdown with the Eagles injury news. This is a tough spot for Philadelphia with bodies dropping to the injury report and Doug Pederson is going to have to be smart with snap counts with the Eagles traveling to play Green Bay on Thursday Night Football right after this game.

Lions cover the number.
