Magic -7 (+102) vs Nets

1.5 unit

I wasn’t going to add to the Magic with the moneyline parlay already locked for 2 units but I feel like there’s still money on the table in this game and think there’s too many mismatches for the Nets. The the Nets are thin with bigs so the Magic can wear down Jarrett Allen as the game goes on and the Magic should win on the boards with Vucevic and Gordon. Even more if Isaac plays. Orlando’s bench is a lot better. The Magic were playing well before covid – won 8 of the last 12, averaged 120.6 ppg. DJ Augustin getting healthy helped them a lot. They’re deep and this is a big game for the standings because Orlando is the 8 seed a half game behind the Nets in the 7th spot. Avoiding Milwaukee in the first round is huge. The Nets just put this team together basically aside from LeVert, Harris and Allen. There’s a lot on LeVert’s shoulders with this roster. If the rest of this new Nets roster goes off I’m willing to lose money on that. The Nets also play a point guard who is 5’10 and gets mismatched on defense a lot. The Magic opened their scrimmage vs the Nuggets up 42-21 the other day and the Nets were down double digits vs the Jazz. I’m not expecting a clean game from the Magic because it’s still early, but there’s a size advantage, the Nets defense should be all over the place, and the Magic are the much more experienced team playing together and the bench is so much better. Throw in the fact that Magic know they need this game and know they’re the better team, I’m willing to lose money on this if the Nets show up and keep this competitive. On the Magic in a 2 unit moneyline parlay with the Suns as well.
