Going back to the Heat tonight. Miami on a back to back just blew out the Grizzlies by 26 two nights ago right after they beat the Hornets by 15 and held Lamelo Ball to 2-14 shooting and 0-5 from three. Bam didn’t even play vs the Grizzlies and the Heat didn’t play anybody more than 30 minutes. The Heat’s defense is 2nd in effective FG %, 1st in 2 point %, and 4th in 3 point %. And they’re on fire shooting. Right now with the Bucks and Nets shorthanded this is the deepest team in the East. Bam is back tonight, practiced yesterday and said he feels good and nothing’s holding him back. Max Kleber is out for the Mavs, Porzingis is questionable, and they’re going to struggle on the boards with Bam and Dedmond. Dallas already struggles on the boards they’re 27th in opponents rebs/game. Dallas is 2-4 ATS and Miami is 5-1 ATS, 3-0 ATS on the road and covering with good margin every game. 5 wins by a total of 123 points and every win by 13 or more. Kyle Lowry makes this team so much better and Jimmy can play off the ball and score more instead of having to run the offense a lot of times. Herro’s been on fire, Duncan Robinson’s starting to heat up and even a guy like Caleb Martin off the bench was a great pickup in the offseason and played well vs the Grizz. The Bucks let PJ Tucker walk in free agency and mix in his defense/the chip on his shoulder with Jimmy and Bam who got swept in May and the fast start to the season makes a lot of sense. Miami should control the glass and have a lot of opportunities for open second chance threes after the Mavs just gave up 17 offensive rebounds the other night.
