The Packers ran the ball the fewest in the NFL last season I look for that to change this year as feeding Aaron Jones will make Aaron Rodgers job much easier. I anticipate both teams trying to establish a ground game early and focus on playing good, clean defense. Much like last year I think we get off to a slow start here with defense prevailing early. The Packers defense is poised to be improved this season with free agent linebacker acquisitions of Za’Darius Smith and Preston Smith, first rounder Rashan Gary and Safety Adrian Amos who will accompany another first rounder in Darnell Savage. This is a young and talented defense described as, “Hungry” by fourth year d-line man Dean Lowry, “This is the hungriest I think we’ve been on defense since I’ve been here.” Like I said I expect to see both teams open somewhat conservatively on offense trying to take advantage of their opponents mistake before this game opens up second half.

The Pick: First Half UNDER 23 (-105)
