Marshall @ Boise State
It’s a tough scheduling spot for Bose State on Friday night. After needing a rally on the East Coast against Florida State they must come back home to prepare for a good Marshall team. The Broncos have frequently come up short on the Smurf Turf, most recently under Bryan Harsin with an 11-21 ATS record as home chalk. The Thundering Herd bring in a talented quarterback in Isaiah Green that can punish defense with both his legs and arm. Green was named to the C-USA All-Freshman Team in 2018, and totaled 284 yards and 4 TD against VMI last week. Look for him to take advantage of Boise State defense that dug a hole against the Seminoles by allowing touchdowns of 38, 58 and 75 yards. The Broncos do have talent on offense, as Hank Bachmeier threw for 407 yards and Robert Mahone gashed Florida State for 142 yards on just 24 carries. However, Marshall still has an experienced defense with a great new coordinator in Brad Lambert, who helped Charlotte finish third in both total and rushing defense in 2018 as their head coach.
