Georgia State won three straight games including last week’s impressive win over Army. Georgia State entered the game as a four-point underdog and pulled out a 28-21 victory. They now have quality wins over Tennessee, Army, and Arkansas State. Quarterback Dan Ellington leads the offense with 16 touchdowns and only three interceptions. In three home games he has 1,170 yards of total offense with 10 total touchdowns and has not thrown an interception. Troy quarterback Kaleb Barker has also had a strong senior season for the Trojans with 1,670 yards and 16 touchdowns. Looking just at the statistics Troy has a better overall defensive. If you dig a little deeper, you will realize that may not be the case. Looking at the three legitimate teams that Troy has faced Southern Miss, Arkansas State and Missouri they have given up 46 points per game and 542 yards of offense. Both defenses will most likely struggle in this matchup, but I favor Georgia State who is 3-0 at home and 4-1-2 ATS overall. Look for Georgia State to win in a high scoring affair and improve their record to 6-2.
