Mississippi State should be 3-0 with 3 good wins over Memphis, NC State, and LA Tech, but were robbed of the Memphis game last week on a bizarre officiating decision. Bulldogs’ QB Will Rogers is putting up INSANE numbers this year that has Miss State in the top-10 in all of college football in passing yards through three weeks. Leach’s air raid is finally clicking in Starkville and I think they will dominate an LSU defense that is 90th in passing yards allowed, 103rd in rushing yards allowed, and 115th in yards per play allowed this season. LSU’s offense has been completely one-dimensional so far this season- they rank 18th in passing but 118th in rushing. This should help a lot as Cowbell prepares this week defensively- their defensive unit isn’t elite by any means but they’ve been good when it counts- ranking 32nd and 24th respectively in opponent third-down conversion rate and opponent first downs.

This is one of the 3 biggest home games of the year for Mississippi State and is their SEC debut so this atmosphere should be insane. I think Mississippi State should feed off the energy and be determined to bounce back from their bizarre close loss last week to Memphis.
