Week 5: Jaguars/Chiefs – open: Jags +3
Unbelievable game again from Mahomes on Monday Night Football, but he is not going to do against the Jaguars what he’s done in the first 4 games. The kid is great but he had played 3 bad defenses so far – the Chargers, Steelers, and 49ers – and the Broncos who are not as good as they were in the past. The Chiefs defense is terrible- they gave up 159 yards on the ground last night on 22 carries (7.2 ypc). That’s after coming into the game giving up 5.2 ypc on the ground and the craziest thing is that the longest run last night was only 19 yards. The Broncos were a left-handed pass away from holding Mahomes to 20 points and Jalen Ramsey/A.J. Buoye may be the only duo in the AFC who can put the clamps down on this offense. Jaguars will come in here trying to make a statement. Leaning Jaguars here.
