I think this is a statement game for Green Bay. Rodgers and LeFleur’s relationship has been getting scrutinized from every angle all offseason and Rodgers’ “position in history” is apparently being threatened if you listen to Max Kellerman.I really like what Green Bay did with their defense this year – adding Ravens sack leader Za’Darius Smith, Michigan star Rashan Gary, and Preston Smith to the front 7. Jaire Alexander is one of the best young corners in the NFL and can limit Allen Robinson. Chicago will look at Taylor Gabriel and Tarik Cohen a lot in the passing game and mix it up with Cohen and David Montgomery in the run game but this is a much better defense than what the Packers have had.

Rodgers has a solid offensive line in front of him and a good run game with Aaron Jones. Rodgers will target Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling (who Rodgers is raving about – 4.37 40 as a rookie last year) a lot. I don’t like this spot for the Bears coming off a depressing loss at home to end the season. The Bears defense is great but with Rodgers locked in and a better defense this could be a lower scoring game than expected and come down to a few key plays. Aaron Rodgers is 16-5 vs Chicago in his career (one loss was after he left the game hurt) with 45 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Packers moneyline.
