Houston looked great last night need to start this off with that. I expected them to look good and if you visited SpreadInvestor.com last week, you would have seen there was a 3 unit play on Houston +7 which was never in doubt. On the other hand, Jacksonville was handled by KC, Mahomes had a big day and the Chiefs rolled. So why are we on the Jags?
Welcome to overreaction city. Week two for me is all about spotting the overreactions, regardless of how they looked Sunday, JAX is one of the league’s better defenses and defense travels. Houston will be going on a short week after playing Monday night and after dropping a heartbreaker to the Saints on the road by a last second Will Lutz field goal.
Jacksonville knows who is on the other side of the field, I expect them to keep the ball on the ground, play good defense and allow Garnder Minshew to make manageable third down throws. I was impressed with what I saw from Minshew and if he can manage this game and not lose it, there is a good chance they stay within this number.
