Jaguars +3.5 -115 at Washington – 1.25 unit

(would play +3 -110 for the same amount)

Washington’s defense has questions at linebacker and in the secondary and haven’t looked good most of preseason. More of the same from last season when they were 31st in 3rd down defense and Chase Young is out for Week 1. Trevor Lawrence looks good under Doug Pederson and has had good chemistry with Zay Jones and Christian Kirk. Travis Etienne and James Robinson can beat Washington’s LBs in coverage. Jacksonville’s defense has looked good in preseason and should be a lot better than last year and they have good pieces in the front 7 with Josh Allen, Travon Walker and Arden Key. Their defensive tackles have been really good in the preseason and CB Tyson Campbell has looked like a #1 CB. Pederson’s knowledge of Carson Wentz should give Jacksonville’s defense a good gameplan that plays to some of his weaknesses and the Jaguars have the better QB to begin with. Now a chance to be the better defense in this game too.
