Falcons +10 at Rams – 2 units
The Falcons are going to be competitive this year and a lot better than where they’re priced. They were about to go up 20 on the Saints in the 3rd quarter before Mariota fumbled on the 3 yard line. Mariota looked really good aside from that and Kyle Pitts and Drake London create size mismatches at 6’6 and 6’4. Cordarelle Patterson gives them a good run game and Mariota had 72 rush yards and was constantly moving and making plays. The Saints didn’t sack him once and Atlanta had 201 rush yards on the day. On defense the front 7 gave the Saints Oline problems and they sacked Winston 3x in the first half. The Rams Oline has a few injuries and Grady Jarrett and the Dline should be able to pressure Stafford. Van Jefferson looks like he’s not playing again and then it’s mostly Kupp and Allen Robinson on the outside as options and the Falcons matchup well with A.J. Terrell and Casey Heyward. The Rams shouldn’t be laying double digits in this game especially with how they looked to start the season and the Falcons would have a good chance to cover this game even as a touchdown underdog.
