Texans +10 at Broncos – 1 unit
Short week for a rookie head coach and two first-time coordinators. Hackett put the Broncos in a position where they’re under a lot more pressure than they have to be in a Week 2 game and the offense was choppy at a lot of points with penalties, bad redzone plays and plays getting to the huddle late. Greenard and Hughes are really good off the edge for the Texans and the Texans can go at RT Cam Fleming who didn’t play well last week. Quinn Meinerz is also out on the offensive line for Denver and Justin Simmons out at safety hurts them. The Texans are going to run a lot and try to shorten the game. Playing overtime last week is the risk for Houston now going to Denver but with the Broncos having no momentum and a new coaching staff the Texans have a chance to get off to a good start and give themselves some margin on the 10 point spread.
