Lions +6 at Vikings – 1.5 unit
Both of these games last year were close with the Vikings winning by 2 and then the Lions winning 19-17 the 2nd game. Justin Jefferson had 11 catches, 182 yards in the 19-17 game and D’Andre Swift didn’t play. The Vikings biggest weakness has been their run defense and they gave up 4.8 ypc vs the Eagles and 6.2 ypc vs the Packers. The Lions are averaging 7.2 yards per carry even with offensive line injuries and the Oline is trending towards being healthier for Sunday. Jefferson and the Vikings pass game can obviously hurt Detroit but a good run game and the threat of Amon-Ra St. Brown can help the Lions with time of possession and Aidan Hutchinson can make a few timely plays on defense that helps keep this close. Short week for Minnesota off MNF with a first time head coach and the Vikings also play in London next week. The week before London is historically not a good spot for teams with a losing ATS trend and the Lions are 3-0 ATS the last 3 vs Minnesota.
