The 49ers Oline had a few injuries in camp so their starters didn’t get a lot of reps together until late August. The Steelers front 7 has good matchups vs the offensive line and with TJ Watt healthy they went 8-2 ATS last season and gave up only 18.4 ppg at home the last 2 seasons when he played. They added Keanu Neal and Patrick Peterson to play safety next to Minkah Fitzpatrick and Elandon Roberts and Kwon Alexander make the middle of their defense better. It’s Brock Purdy’s first game in the NFL where a coach has had an extended period of time to watch film on him and he was on a pitch count this summer after the injury. 49ers’ first game without DeMeco Ryans and their kicker was inconsistent all summer. The Steelers offense should be a lot better in year 2 with Kenny Pickett and a better Oline and they finished last season 7-2. Mike Tomlin’s 25-11-2 ATS as an underdog the last 5 seasons and Kyle Shanahan’s 1-5 ATS in Week 1 with the 49ers. Big game for the Steelers franchise.
